Who is Sumana Shrestha?

Sumana Shrestha (Nepali: सुमना श्रेष्ठ) is a Nepali politician, belonging to the Rashtriya Swatantra Party. She is currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives in the Federal Parliament of Nepal. In the 2022 election, she was elected as a proportional representative under the Indigenous People category.

Sumana Shrestha is a management consultant by training, an entrepreneur by passion and an activist by necessity. From mobilizing the community at the local level in advocating for conserving the heritages of Kasthamandap to Rani Pokhari, Sumana has successfully led movements. Above all, she has built self-sustaining systems in her professional career and voluntary endeavours.
